DS Smith Packaging

DS Smith Packaging is Europe’s second largest fibre-based packaging group.  The focus of our work with them over a 6 year period was every aspect of price increase methodology, including the tactics of value recovery and price and margin management.

Macfarlane Group

Macfarlane Group is the UK’s largest distributor of packaging materials with an annual turnover in excess of £130 million. They operate from 13 regional distribution centres each run by a Regional Business Manager who has P&L responsibility.  Working together with Macfarlane Regional Business Managers we developed the Macfarlane Sales Standards. This includes fifty standards that define the way that successful Macfarlane salespeople operate.

Milk Link International

Milk Link are the UK’s most progressive integrated dairy business. Employing around 1,200 people at eight processing facilities, they turn over around £600m.  The focus of the work for Milk Link International was a Price Increase Programme in the face of a significant increase in the cost of raw materials and other input costs.

Brintons Fine Carpet

This is a worldwide business, with 20% sales via retail and 80% being contract for the hospitality, leisure, gaming, marine and other sectors. After a period of decline due to economic recession, Far East competition, poor management decisions and significant raw material cost increases, there was a need not only to significantly reduce costs but also to increase average selling prices, as many contracts were effectively loss making.

Viscose Closures

Viscose Closures specialise in tamper and pilfer proof closures. They have over a hundred years of history and manufacture products in Swansea, producing secondary seals, sleeving and capsules.  Although profitable, sales growth had not lived up to its true potential in recent years and there had been little or no significant new business drive beyond the existing customer base.  PiP Associates worked closely with Viscose Closures to develop a programme which challenged everyone to identify what they could contribute to the new business drive.

Global Manufacturer

The client is a global leader in its marketplace, employing over 20,000 people in more than 150 locations with revenues in excess of £5bn.  As a leading manufacturer of consumer and industrial products, service and product quality are key to this client, but so are customer relationships across the globe.

Global High Tech Manufacturer

The client is a top 5 global operator in a high-technology manufacturing niche, generating turnover well into the billions and employing in excess of 15,000 people globally.  With over 300,000 product lines, complex global relationships and long-term customer relationships, the quality of sales and commercial staff is critical to the ongoing success of this business.

European Industrial Conglomerate

The client is a leading European industrial conglomerate, employing thousands of staff across 8 European countries.  The business is family owned and split into four main divisions, each servicing their own independent client bases, with some overlapping key customers.
